Sir: -
I have received your telegram No.2 of the 4th.inetant
reporting that in consequence of a statement aade by the
Portuguese Legation in London, the Lirector General of
the Portuguese Colonial Office desired to be informed
privately whether a remark in a telegram from the Governor
of Hongkong to the effect that the Governor of Macao was
"in a very nervous state", meant that is xcellency
appeared to be not quite eane.
